wandering ibis

adult white ibis

juvenile white ibis

As the adult white ibis wander in one direction searching for food.. the younger brown feathered juvenile heads in the opposite direction..
this scenario sounds oh so familiar :)

i like the looks of the juvenile better than when they turn white. they are so common here, they walk around in the yards pecking away, bet they are over there where you are to

When I look at your photos, all I can think of is warm breezes and sunshine. Easy telling I live in New England.

I was admiring your photos and the birds. And then I read your final caption and laughed out loud. Too true. Thank you.

Those darn kids! Beautiful birds and great photos of them! I'm thinking we must not have any of these birds in my neck of the woods.
